MAAN!DAMANO 

Maan!damano is an artivism project inspired by “Maandamano”—Swahili for protests—and the exclamation “Maan!”—a call to raise public awareness of corruption and social injustice. This initiative blends art, activism, and storytelling to explore and document the complexities of Kenya’s political landscape amid ongoing tensions, economic challenges, and social issues. Through powerful visual narratives, Maan!damano captures the intensity of public demonstrations, offering an urgent and reflective commentary on the nation’s evolving political climate, particularly since the anti-government protests began on July 26, 2024.
